Its already six matches over,but still just one team is eliminated from the Cup and that is WEST INDIES.
Now lets discuss about Group B.The ICC started with a miracle where lankans enjoyed a victory over south Africans.Before the tournament all we telling that South Africans are main favorites.But after first match they started telling that Lanka is favorite team for cup. England,who lost the recent one day series by a worst scoreline of 6-1 to Aussies,opened their account beating Sri lanka,this result really stunned the cricket world.On the on the hand ,south Africa also won their second encounter against Black Caps.So in that group practically all the four teams has chance to go to next round.It will be mostly decided today,which team will be eliminated.I want Proteas and sri lanka to get qualified for next round, so that we can have a nice week.
Its in now Group A more confusion exists.Even though West Indies played a nice cricket in their two matches,there were no real upsets.But the thing is that Pakistan won two matches but still practically they have not got in to next round.As Both India and Australia has two matches on their hands and if INDIA wins against Australia and Windies then India will finish with four points.If australia wins against pakistan and loose against indians then,they also will end in four points.So,margin of victory is so important in this group A. only if Pakis loose to assies in a big margin ,their Net-Run-Rate will not be worst. So Pakis will have better chance of qualifying into next round. This is one scenario.There are many scenarios.
So,we could expect a nice,thrilling,entertaining and mainly not boring ICC CHAMPIONS TROPHY 2009...
