Is Champions trophy need of the hour???

With some matches already over,there is discussion that "50 over cricket is needed or should shortened".
I am going to give a small opinion of mine.
I have different opinions. some of mine are listed below

1. If ICC thinks that Test is mother of cricket,then to protect the same why can't they abolish one day cricket.
2. ICC can shorten the game to 40 over cricket as practiced in England county.
3. ICC can follow what Mr.Records(none other than SACHIN TENDULKAR) said .just separate innings after playing 25 overs.so that we could have ODIs in tests format.
4. But in the above concept there is a big thing that has to be considered,that is time.say for example,If one team plays 25 overs,then there will be a break. Imagine a Break of 10(its needed as the opening batsman has to get ready) minutes here,then when other team finishes 25 overs. They need 40 minutes of break.So totally there might be 60 minutes of break, if there is no hindrances.So it might take 8 hours of a day instead of 7 hours.So i think there can be 40 overs match. In which one team plays 20 overs and the next team plays their twenty overs.Just to add interesting to ODIs, ICC can do like this.

There is one point which must be followed by ICC.They have to tell each board that pitch must be a balanced one.So that the match does not become bore.we need a similar pitches that we see in South Africa. We don't need pitches like in ASIA(exclude Lanka).Sri lanka is the only country in this part of the world(ASIA) which produces results in most test matches
